Female body hair remains an object of cultural anxieties and pressures and makes a good focus for explorations around the female body, female identity. I enjoy playing with some of these notions, using elements from daily life as well as myths and fairy-tales. A sense of unease here stemming from the borders between inside and outside, between natural and controlled, between animal and human nature being permeable and unstable. It is small and intimate work, beautiful but intense and a bit scary in a fairy-tale sort of way.
